Every year, there are updates to critical aspects of billing and coding, such as the CPT® codes and the Medicare Physicians Fee Schedule. In 2024, a new method for reporting caregiver training has been introduced, leading to some confusion regarding the assignment of modifiers for procedures involving assistants. Additionally, there are annual updates to Medicare policies for therapy, including new threshold limits and the "always therapy" listing, which also require the use of modifiers.
